Since March, the corridor has transferred hundreds of patients to Jordanian hospitals, many of them children carrying the physical and emotional scars of war. Among them is five-year-old Haneen, who survived an Israeli airstrike that set her home ablaze, killing her parents and younger sister. She arrived in Jordan with her grandparents and is now receiving treatment for her burns. Thousands more children like Haneen remain on Gaza’s waiting lists, unable to leave because of strict exit restrictions.

In the meantime, the Jordanian Armed Forces continue humanitarian airdrops to Gaza, a measure of last resort when borders are sealed and convoys are blocked.
